Married with Child

So about a month after we got married my wife Anetha wasn't feeling so good, her stomach was upset, she couldn't stand the smell of meat, and other physical symptoms. Right away she knew what it was! We were pregnant!!!!!!! Since that her stomach has been growing bigger until now. We are due on May 8th!!!!!!! So we are, (i mean she is), in the third trimester. Things are going along really well so far, she hasn't had lots of morning sickness, and she has been gaining weight well. We've had two ultra sounds done, and the baby looks health and it is grwoing well as well. We don't know what sex it is, we chose not to find out, so we're waiting expectantly to see what it is!!!! We are now on week 29!!!

These ultrasounds are from five weeks
These ultrasounds are from 20 weeks.

Anetha, you are soooo cute! I hope I look like that when I'm pregnant! You know, if you hold off for 3 more days you'll have your baby on my birthday... I know that's what you were trying to do. Thanks guys, that means so much to me! Congrats!!

I am SO excited for baby Kashuba! Anetha, you look beautiful pregnant! It almost makes me wish that I was pregnant... Almost.
You know, I always assumed that everyone found out the sex of their baby during pregnancy. Then one day mark and I were talking about stuff and that exact topic came up. I was shocked to find out that he refused to ever find out. So then I would ask random people with kids, or who were having a baby, or any random people if they would want to know the sex of a baby before it was born. Everyone said NO!
I'm still surprised to learn that's the way things work. I want to find out when my time comes. Mark doesn't. What to do?

Why would you want to find out?? It ruins the suprise at the end!!! I think that is the most exciting part. But I guess to each, there own

The way I see it, it's a surprise either way. Either you wait until the baby is born, and SURPRISE it's a boy/girl, or you have an ultrasound and SUPRISE it's a boy/girl. And if you do it the second way, you can start buying cute outfits right from the beginning. They don't have much for unisex baby clothing. It's either pink/yellow, or blue/green.
I seem to be the only person on the face of the planet who thinks this way though...
Literally.

you're not the only one that thinks that way avey. I know lots of people who found out what they were having, so they could get the room ready and get clothes and stuff. The other thing about that is, that in BC, i'm not sure if it's the same in alberta, they won't tell you what sex it is unless you go to a private clinic. The people at the hospital won't tell you the sex, it's one of there policies.

Hi Kashuba!

We had to create a google account just to post here... hmmm. It has been years (since our wedding I think, and that was 5 years ago this summer)We were excited to get an update. Wow congrats on your marriage and little pea! Your life will never be the same but every sleepless second is worth it! Our baby -Lucas- just turned 1 on January 13th and we are expecting number 2 the end of June. As for the finding out the sex of your child debate... Sarah says waiting gives you one more thing to "push" for. Besides friends of ours found out and when their baby was actually born it was such a let down because we already knew that the baby was a girl and her name was Bria... no excitement at all. Besides not finding out saves alot of money! Hope you have a great rest of your pregnancy and DON'T watch any of those delivery videos... unessessary stress!
